RivelinCo

Grace is a fantastic artist and facilitator and I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

She leads our youth projects for RivelinCo, our neighbourhood arts organisation in North Sheffield.
She had previously led community workshops for us in drama, heritage, arts and crafts, gardening, outdoor games and more with all ages. She is reliable, creative, adaptable, and full of brilliant ideas! And her people skills are second to none.

LA: Grace is an asset to any project, she is a dedicated, highly experienced and friendly facilitator that I would not hesitate to recommend.

Her calm, friendly approach puts participants at ease from the start and her enthusiasm and compassionate encouragement allows all working with her to grow and shine.

CC: Grace is reflective practitioner that thinks deeply and creatively about the workshops and sessions she runs. She is playful, and always ready with a supportive energy and empathic response. I love delivering sessions with Grace, it's a joy to bounce off creative ideas as you never know where they may lead. She also has a terrific sense of humour when collaborating.

Head of

Learning & Impact

Grimm & Co

Grace has been an Associate Artist at Grimm & Co for over 5 years.

As an Associate Artist, Grace has been involved in many of our festivals and events, often becoming wild and wonderful characters to inspire children and young people. In addition, she works closely with the Creative Learning team delivering longer-term residencies in schools.

The Inside Story project (2019-2020) the Who's Your Neighbour project (2022) and the Call to Create project (2023-2026) have involved working with a cohort of children and young people over a period of weeks and included delivery in immersive theatre spaces, exploring the local area, achieving National Curriculum objectives through creative play and all in character.

Grace can skillfully balance the facilitation techniques needed to hold safety and focus in the room, whilst also exploring personas and characters that are witty, charming and wonderful.

Grace has also been a Creative Mentor for Grimm & Co. Grace has made a significant impact to the lives of many vulnerable children and young people in South Yorkshire who are in the care system. During the pandemic, when all face-to-face sessions ceased, Grace provided pre-recorded digital sessions for all Creative Mentees exploring creative skills and visual arts.

Grace is a team worker and supports everyone to ensure a project doesn't lose focus or sight of its mission. She is caring and passionate about empowering others. She really is tops.

 Children’s Capital of Culture

I’ve worked with Grace many times, commissioning her as freelance creative facilitator across a range of workshops and programmes.

She’s highly professional and well-organised, and brings great thoughtfulness, care, and creativity to her work with children, young people and adults.

She’s brilliant at engaging diverse participants through accessible and joyful arts activities, working with communities to co-create wonderful things together!

UNION: The Northern School for Creativity and Activism

Grace is a Fellow of the UNION 2019 programme run by the Northern School for Creativity and Activism. A thoughtful and committed participant, these days I keep hearing her name mentioned by a whole range of arts organisations as a highly-valued freelance team member.

In 2022, she undertook a challenging residency with UNION in Almada in Portugal, working alongside local people with the
El Warcha collective and co-creating an amazing collective poem. I can recommend her as a thoughtful, effective, and adaptable participatory arts worker.
